ABOUT ME
OUR TECHNOLOGY
OUR PHILOSOPHY

Technology has always played a prominent role in the education of the whole child. St. Joseph University School looks to utilize the technologies available to our students to develop in them educational, communication, problem solving, analysis and research skills in accordance with Catholic/Christian values and ethical principles. Technology is multi-disciplinary and therefore can not be used or taught in isolation. St. Joseph promotes academic success by embedding technology tools into the learning process enabling all students to develop technology skills in a wide-range of context while strengthening academic knowledge and skills.

In each of our classrooms at St. Joseph you will find at least two desktop computers for student use, a deskop computer for teacher use and a All-In-One color printer. All our classrooms are wired for internet access and the entire building has WiFi connectivity. To compliment the classroom computers we also have classroom sets of laptops, APPLE iPADS and a complete computer lab. All of our classrooms are equiped with an interactive white board system, in addition, there are two portable MIMIO systems that can turn any flat surface into an interactive white board. Document cameras, LCD projectors, digital and video cameras complete the resources available to our students and staff. We are continuosly upgrading and replacing our hardware and software to make sure that we are on technology's cutting edge.

After 35 years in public education, where I taught math, science and technolgy, St. Joseph University School has given me the opportunity to be in a position to fully make use of my technical and practical knowledge for the benefit of the students and staff of St. Joseph, both in and out of the classroom. We have consistently maintained and upgraded a technology program that makes available the latest best practices for the use of technology in the classroom while making sure our hardware and software are up to date for the benefit everyone at St. Joseph.
